As you've probably all known, I am a fan of the "Saints Row" franchise, but at the same time, I am very disappointed and let down by SR 3 and 4. I'm not saying those games aren't fun - they're certainly more fun and less disappointing than fucking "GTAIV". But this new direction the franchise is headed in is absolutely stupid. It's losing the whole gangster theme, which was what drew me to the goddamn franchise in the first place. Now they're turning it into yet another stupid sci-fi game to satisfy all the nerds - as if we don't have enough fucking sci-fi games already. At this point in the continuity of the story the Earth has been blown up so any chance of the game returning to its gangster roots has gone completely out the window. Volition better get their shit together and make the game like it used to be. Apparently they decided it would be better to take out everything that made "Saints Row" what it was to begin with and make it so that it only satisfies sci-fi geeks. (I'm not dissing sci-fi, I just don't like it as much as crime-themed video games.)
When I saw previews of "Saints Row the Third" I was very disappointed by the gangs. The gangs were stupid; they all looked like a bunch of Batman rejects. "SR4" SORT-OF made up for that mistake by having alien characters take on the forms of the Vice Kings, the Sons of Samedi and the Ronin. But other than that, it had a really stupid letdown ending and a weak cast of all-new characters. But of course the third and fourth titles drew me to them like a fly to a pile of shit with their fancy graphics, customization features and play controls.
I will say this though: at least "Gat out of Hell" was fucking awesome. I haven't finished it yet, but it still had so many improvements - one of which being that the city the game took place in wasn't as ugly and dull as Steelport. But at this point, I don't even want to see where the next game in this series will take place. Volition should just do the respectful thing and kill this fucking franchise already.

RIP to my mother - 1953-2021
I regret to inform you all, but my mother - the only family member I ever truly loved - has passed away. I am in so much anguish that I can't even see straight. I was gonna make up for lost times with her, but now all of that has gone out the window and I have no reason to have faith anymore. I don't even know if I want to continue art or game design since she won't be around to give me her reaction to my first game - if I ever even create it. Mom, I hope you can hear me, and I hope you know I will always love you.
Now doing commissions
I've decided to start doing commissions on my StolenForm account - but only through PayPal since I refuse to waste the money on a core membership. This is where I post my more fanservicey work, but if you want to commission something that's not fanservice at all, I can post it on my IrishDisaster account. You can even do it anonymously if needed. I know people don't like having to pay for commissions, but if I want to be an indie game designer, I'm gonna need to save up for some hardware and software needed for it, possibly even a programming tutor to help me, and I have so many expenses to take care of already. Thinking of removing a certain piece of mine
WARNING: the following deals with subject matter that could be triggering to anyone with PTSD; this deals with said subject matter in a very respectful manner. As some of you watchers probably know, I have a drawing of Charlie Sheen in my gallery - one that depicts him with cigarettes in his ears and nostrils, just like in that interview parody video he did. However, after hearing the accusations about what went on between him and Corey Haim on the set of Lucas in about 1985 or so, I'm having second thoughts about it. If those sexual abuse allegations turn out to be true, I'm deleting that drawing of Sheen. Knowing how mentally and emotionally damaged Corey Haim was, I wouldn't be surprised if he did in fact experience sexual abuse. It doesn't matter if the abuse happened in 1985 or just yesterday; that sort of abuse lasts for life. Even if Haim passed away nearly a decade ago, he still deserves justice if that happened to him.

I know how you feel, I wish they would go back to their roots. They can make it funny, just not this ridiculous. I did have fun playing the games anyway. It should be rebooted on next gen, but I doubt that will happen, since they are cashing in on the over the top nature of the last few games.
